The Relationship between Prenatal Attachment and Psychosocial Adjustment during Pregnancy

Abstract
This study is to in investigate relationship between prenatal attachment and psychosocial adjustment during pregnancy. The research method is on the basis of descriptive correlational study, and data collecting period was from 20, April to 27, April, 2000. The objects of stud von 67 pregnant women of two OBGY Hospitals in Masan.
Using the SPSS/WIN 8.0+program. the data were analysed by Mean, SD, Pearson Correlation Coefficient.
The result of this study is as follows :
Th mean score of prenatal attachment was 70.63, the mean score of acceptance of pregnancy, 24.69, the mean score of wellbeing of self & baby, 19.60, the mean score of idenfication of the motherhood role, 29.09, the mean score of relationship with mother, 18.84 the mean score of relationship with husband, 19.15.
Significant negative correlation of prenatal attachment is found in both acceptance of pregnancy, wellbeing of self & baby, idenfication of the motherhood role, relationship with mother, relationship with husband.
